PassportScan Cloud Transition and Device Activation Guide
1. End of Legacy Application
As of September 30, the old PassportScan app stopped working permanently.
All users must now use PassportScan Cloud. All past and future check-ins remain safely stored in your Workspace; this transition does not affect or delete any data.
2. Installing PassportScan Cloud
Scan our QR Code or Download the new app from the official stores:

Android
Install the app on your device and test it before using it at the front desk to ensure everything runs smoothly.
3. Activating a New Device
If the app has never been installed on your device, PassportScan Cloud will prompt for an activation code upon first launch.
3.1 Generating an Activation Code
To generate an activation code, you ust have a user with administrator privileges or a user role with “Manage Devices” permission.
Steps:
Log in to PassportScan Workspace with an authorized user.
Go to Settings > Devices > Add new device.
Enter a name for the device (e.g., “Front Desk Tablet”).
Select FULL MODE for the device and click Save.
The activation code will be displayed. Copy this code.
3.2 Activating the Device
Open PassportScan Cloud on the new device.
Enter the activation code provided.
The device will be linked to your Workspace and ready to use.
⚠️ Only users with administrator rights or “Manage Devices” permission can generate activation codes.
4. Security and Recommendations
⚠️ It is recommended to set up a PIN and optionally enable MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) to strengthen security.
⚠️ Any old devices that are no longer in use can be removed from Workspace to prevent unauthorized access.
