PassportScan Cloud Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install and set up PassportScan Cloud properly.
1. Download the Installation File
• Go to https://passportscan.net/passportscan_cloud.exe.
• Download the passportscan_cloud.exe file.
2. Create the Required Folder Structure
While the file is downloading, set up the necessary directories:
1. Open C: drive.
2. Create a new folder and name it “passportscan”.
3. Inside C:\passportscan, create another folder named “app”.
3. Move the Downloaded File
1. Once the download is complete, open the Downloads folder.
2. Copy the file passportscan_cloud.exe.
3. Paste it into C:\passportscan\app.
4. Create a Desktop Shortcut
1. Navigate to C:\passportscan\app.
2. Right-click on passportscan_cloud.exe and select Create Shortcut.
3. Rename the shortcut to “PassportScan Cloud”.
5. Move the Shortcut to Public Desktop
1. Copy the newly created shortcut.
2. Paste it into C:\Users\Public\Desktop.
6. Copy the Database File from Another Computer (Not necessary for most of the installations)
1. From another operational computer, navigate to C:\Passportscan\data.mdb.
2. Copy this file.
3. Paste it into the same location on each new installation.
7. First-Time Login + Activation Code
• Launch PassportScan Cloud.
You must activate each computer with an Activation Code:
For already existing devices, Just reset the device to get a new code, then jump to STEP 6.
In order to generate the activation code for a NEW DEVICE, login into your Workspace, go to Settings > Devices > Add new device.
Enter a device name (e.g., “Front Desk PC”). (This is just an identification name)
Select the mode. (FULL MODE for Windows Client) and click "Save"
Get your Activation Code.
Open the Windows Client and enter the code to activate your device.
