Installing PassportScan Cloud on a New PC (Windows Client)

Option A (quick):



1. Download the BAT INSTALLER from https://support.passportscan.net/portal/en/kb/articles/download-client-windows and "Run as administrator". Once the installation is complete, a confirmation message will appear.


2. From another operational computer, copy the file `C:\Passportscan\data.mdb` and paste it into each new installation.


3. Log in for the first time with the user "administrator" or with a user who has "role device" permissions in PassportScan to register the new device.


Option B (step by step):





2. While the file is downloading, let's create the PassportScan folder:


2.1. In C: create a folder and name it "passportscan".


2.2. In the newly created directory C:\passportscan, add a folder and name it "app".


3. Once the file download is complete, open the Downloads folder, copy the file "passportscan_cloud.exe" and paste it into C:\passportscan\app.


4. Now, let's create a desktop shortcut:


4.1. Right-click on "passportscan_cloud.exe" and select "Create shortcut".


4.2. Rename the created shortcut to "PassportScan Cloud".


5. As the final step, copy the shortcut and paste it into C:\Users\Public\Desktop.


6. From another operational computer, copy the file C:\Passportscan\data.mdb  and paste it into each new installation.


7. Log in for the first time with the user "administrator" or with a user who has "role device" permissions in PassportScan to register the new device.
