How to Create a Custom Button in Opera Cloud to Open a Guest’s PassportScan Profile

This article explains how to configure a custom button in Opera Cloud that opens a guest’s profile directly in PassportScan, automatically passing the GuestID. This allows staff to quickly verify the guest’s photo or review their details without manual searches.

In Opera Cloud, go to:

Administration → Miscellaneous → Custom Hyperlinks (or Flex Links)

This section allows you to create new custom buttons that appear inside the guest profile.

Click New and fill in the following fields:

  • Name: choose any label (e.g., Open PassportScan Profile)

  • Description: optional

  • URL: paste the following link:

https://workspace.passportscan.net/customers/resolve-integrator-id/#{bindings.NameId.inputValue}

This URL will open PassportScan and automatically pass the GuestID of the selected profile.

3. Select the Correct Binding Field

From the available binding options, select the field containing the Guest / Profile ID, typically:

bindings.NameId.inputValue

Opera Cloud will automatically replace this variable with the actual GuestID of the profile currently being viewed when the button is clicked.

Result

After saving, the custom button will appear inside the guest profile in Opera Cloud. Clicking it will open the corresponding PassportScan profile, allowing staff to quickly verify the guest’s photo or details.
