PassportScan – Nationality Field Not Recognized After Document Scan

The nationality field is not recognized or is blocked after scanning

Description


After scanning a document with the PassportScan app on a tablet, the Nationality field may:

  • Not be automatically recognized,

  • Remain empty, or

  • Appear as non-editable on the next screen.


This behavior can occur regardless of the document type (ID card, passport, driver’s license, etc.).


Solution

  1. Open the PassportScan app on the tablet.

  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Log Out.

  4. Log in again with your credentials.

  5. Rescan the document.

  • Ensure the app is updated to the latest version from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).
