Workaround for OHIP Chain Managed Hotels with Chain access restrictions


Contextual Information: Some chains with multiple managed hotels may prefer to restrict access to the WSACCESS role at the chain level rather than granting access at the property level. This preference can pose a challenge during the configuration process.

However, there is a workaround available:


Workaround Steps:

Request Chain Level Access: Please provide us with chain level access to the WSACCESS role. This access is necessary for setting up environments in the developer portal.

Temporary Access: Once you provide chain level access, we will use it temporarily to add the environment in the developer portal. This step is crucial for completing the environment setup.

Environment Setup: We will add the required environment using the chain level access you provided.

Transition to Hotel Level Access: After successfully adding the environment, you can proceed to adjust the access from chain level to property level.

Role Adjustment: In your SSD (Self-Service Dashboard), remove the chain level WSACCESS role and instead add the WSACCESS role at the hotel level. This adjustment ensures that APIs can be called for individual hotels only.

Implementation: Once the configuration is complete, you can make the necessary changes to restrict access to the property level. This process allows for seamless integration and API usage tailored to your preferences.
